XX

It's my birthday! At long last, I'm a quarter finished with life.

I don't have much to say right now. I could whine about how I've got a final on my birthday. I could also cry about how I just got off a closing shift and barely had enough time to get my pants off before turning 20. (There was no way I was going to roll over into my birthday at work. And for maximum relaxation, a lack of pants is entirely necessary.) That's not... productive, though.

I've got this crazy plan, though. It's one of those plans that comes to mind early in the morning when I'm standing in the shower in a half-asleep daze.

I'm going to document my 20s. The entire decade. Not in much detail, though. Each day I'm going to write a single sentence summarizing the day. It'll be an interesting exercise in brevity. So if I start today, by my 30th birthday I'll have written 3,652 sentences. I'm going to estimate an average of about 9 words per sentence. That's almost 30,000 words, which is about 95 pages in paragraph form, double spaced, in 10pt Calibri. That's a lot of words.

Somebody should probably check my math here. I'm a writing major for a reason.

I don't know if I have any sort of endgame for this, it's just a fun experiment. An experiment that'll take up 1/3 of my life. We'll see how it goes.
